Bread is a thin cut Aldi sourdough. Griddled on cast iron in butter. Cheese is sliced Cooper Sharp and shredded sharp cheddar.

This bread browns and crisps really well. It is thin enough that the cheese melted perfectly without having to put a dome over it.

It was delicious with homemade baked potato soup on a snowy day.

That looks SO good. I’m drooling. I might have to try this!

  2. How is the Aldi sourdough? Jelly btw don’t have them where I am!

I have been making grilled cheese for 30+ years, and my mom trained me how to ALWAYS make them look like that. That is perfect as long as you have the flavor and ratio you want on the inside.
